島嶼系列～ 2012
The Island Series 2012
1998-2011是12年，
12年是可以發生很多事的。
我們一家由拿筷子的台灣換到拿刀叉的加拿大過日子，
孩子的學習由ㄅ、ㄆ、ㄇ變成Ａ、Ｂ、Ｃ再變成à、é、ñ，
先生的運動由游泳變成打小白球，
我則由一個歐巴桑變成專業畫家。
然後，
在2011年一家四口分居三個國家，
先生選擇返台承歡膝下，
我成了配合演出的角色。
以上的生活瑣事變成了我作品中的元素，
作品是我生活的日記，
紀錄下我所看到的、感受的。
異地的生活、
文化的衝擊、
價值觀的猶豫、
人性的掙扎全部誠實的在我的畫面上表現出來。
由台灣島－溫哥華島，
再由溫哥華島－台灣島。
就這樣。

There are twelve years from 1998 to 2011; many things could - and did - happen in twelve year:
Our family moved from chopsticks-using Taiwan to Canada,where knives are forks are used;
our kid's schoolwork went from ㄅ、ㄆ、ㄇ to A、B、C and then to 、à、é、ñ;
my husband's hobby went from swimming to golfing; and I myself went from a housewife to a professional artist.
And then,
In 2011, the four members of our family moved to reside in three different countries.
My husband chose to return to Taiwan to be the good son he has always been,
And I followed.
These events and moments
became the elements in my artwork,
My art is a journal of my life,
recording everything I see and feel:
life in a foreign place,
culture shock,
conflicts in values,
and struggles of humanity
are all truthfully represented on my canvas.
From the island of Taiwan to Vancouver Island,
And then from Vancouver Island back to the island of Taiwan.
